Demand is
increasing for the latest mobile smart phones as more people get
connected to the web for information and shopping.
This year in the mobile technology sector, as like many other area's,
knives are being sharpened as competitors fight it out for number one
spots and survival. As reports have shown just recently, of some of the
major network providers in the industry are falling short on numbers
and demand giving cause for concern.
With the sad loss of Steve Jobs last year co-founder of Apple. Even
their position as the number one technology business is not immune from
the events taking place as they continue to fight it out in court with
their rivals Samsung over design rights and many other issues.
The Apple iphone 4s has continued interest and demand for the Apple
brand and with an Apple owned operating system delivering a very
exclusive environment and a range of apps for the device reaching in
the 100's of thousands.
But the rival for Apple and the company they most fear is Samsung. They
are masters at designing and building technology that is not only
attractive but so resilient. Samsung definitely know how to make things
and one of Steve Jobs sentiments was in design, where he said, "part of
design is about functionality and for it to work". Well, Samsung know
how to make things work and with the release this year of the Samsung
Galaxy S for mobiles and the release of their Smart TV's, the business
looks set for a quantum leap to the number one spot in the technology
sector.
For many years rivals of preference in the mobile phone sector have
been a following for either Apple or Blackberry Products. When Apple
released their tablet ipad we were just waiting for Blackberry to do
the same for its fans and when it arrived. We could not believe the
almighty failing to take advantage of the environment to match and beat
their competitors. For we were convinced they would of formulated a
relationship with Microsoft for a Windows environment operating system,
but instead went down a route of very much the same as others who are
jostling in the mid sector sector of the industry.
Motorola seem set to make a significant come back with the Motorola
Razor. One thing Motorola does do very well is marketing and comes with
that normally are some very slick and polished advertising. But we are
surprised across the wires and that box in the corner of every home.
The campaigns appear to be a little thin on the ground.
Nokia has released new models this year and continue to provide an
extensive range of products to meet everyone's budget. They could be
the dark horse in the mobile wars. For one thing is for certain in
recessions, a firm that has an extensive range will invariably out live
and survive one dependent upon a very small range of products.
Sony Ericsson has over the years delivered some amazing products and
innovation. They continue to battle on this year with new releases and
have always commanded respect in the industry for continually trading
on in all weather conditions of the economy.
