Riverside Coming To Your High Street

This year at
Riverside Networks we plan to bring our technology to your High St as
we launch our new retail franchise in the UK.
As always Riverside Networks has been a head of the curve regarding the
geographical landscape of change as specialists in intelligence
gathering for our industry and beyond for clients.
We have carefully studied the retail sector now for a number of years
and seen the transitions taking place. We have especially been
pro-active these past three years regarding this part of the industry
sector for UK plc and taken the trouble to point out to both Government
and Banking the problems looming.
Today's figures for the retail sector in the United Kingdom only
confirms our warnings of before and the information we have gathered.
The retail sector has performed its worst since records began over 17
years ago and with an actual quarterly contraction from the previous
January in 2011 of 2.6% this year in 2012.
High Streets in the UK are becoming less attractive as more stores
close and on average throughout the UK there are now vacant premises on
average of 14%. However in relation to densely populated city areas. If
you removed these from the UK average the figure drastically increases
to around 26%. Stockport High Street on the outskirts of Greater
Manchester has 30% vacant premises.
The retail sector therefore has never been so stressed in its history
and many have to take ownership and responsibility for these results
and local authorities with excessive waste and increase in council
business tax are the main culprits and a close second is property
speculators in the commercial rented sector. The VAT increase had a
significant factor also in the past twelve or so months and in addition
to excessive parking costs charged by councils the emergence of on-line
trading has had a significant impact. Out of town retail has also
diluted consumer intensity and large superstores that over time affect
local areas as traditional community retailers are unable to trade due
to the competition from these giants and as a result creating more
closures and unemployment.
From the day Riverside Networks set out on its voyage of enterprise, it
was designed to create a new environment for business and trading where
it encompassed the key staff and community. Modern business has to
understand you cannot just take but have to maintain communities and
therefore put something back.
So in the coming 12 to 24 months we want to bring to your High Street
and others our new retail stores for technology. Our aim is to work
with local authorities and create employment opportunity for our
younger members of society and at the same time our more senior members
who have worked all their lives and now find their careers ending in
the public and private sector due to cut backs.
We are endeavouring to work closely with our new bankers Santander and
have already suggested introductions to the banks business sector arm
for interested parties seeking to take a franchise.
Our aim is to merge modern day technology with traditional retail.
Taking the very best from both to deliver a service in retail that is
very unique and the future way in retail. Interested
