Dear
Subscribers and Investors,
Welcome to the Riverside Networks Organization that was founded by
myself back in 2001. To date this has been my largest project ever in
the entrepreneurial world of enterprise.
Over the years I had stayed focused and was determined after all the
hard work and effort that this day would come, where Riverside Networks
became an organization of the modern era in business and offering far
more than just capital investment return.
In December of 2006, I wrote a paper for our Academy with my concerns
of an eventual implosion of our IT sector, as it was apparent that
market changes, regarding emerging geographical manufacture hubs,
consumer demand, shareholder returns and reduction of end users prices
would eventually give rise to a perfect storm of collapse.
The banking system came as a shock to many, but in truth these problems
were conceived back in the Thatcher era of the late 1970's and early
80's. As crudely as it sounds, it was a problem brushed under the
carpet and with enough paper, confusion would win the day for it would
be an impossibility to unravel.
With the collapse of the banking system and markets, we have been
plunged into a global recession. To counter this statement and believe
we are threw such an event would be both hasty and misguided.
Unlike other recessions, tagged to this are a number of other
significant factors. We are now in a global market. Years before in a
recession if you were exporting, you could consolidate and generate
your energies into the domestic market. Then, manufacturing of product
could be located in your own state. But today the hub of manufacture is
in the Asia Pacific Rim, you can no longer consolidate from within.
Next in this complexed equation is social awareness and environmental
accountability. The global community each day is becoming better
informed and more educated. As a result, market decisions by consumers
are also being determined by ethical conduct and other environmental
issues that relate and concern them.
To believe the World will go back to normal in a year or two's time is
a far flung dream. Business Enterprise has to re-invent itself along
with the banking system to meet this new environment. Most in business
do not know the answers, or will be able to change, to meet this new
era. Many enterprises will fail as a result, some household names we
have come to know over many years have sadly gone already and others
will follow.
There has always been a saying that in your life's confused journey you
are being prepared to meet a significant time or event in your life.
For us, with the witnessing of the collapse back in August of 2008, it
was almost like a fast forward into the future that we fore saw almost
a decade ago.
In 2001 the long term objective was to develop one of the largest and
ethically sound information technology organizations in the World.
Where the organization was built on sound long term values. Where
financial reward at any cost was not king. But by carefully shaping and
thinking through at great length projects, the formulation of long term
partner relations would serve in the interests of the global community
and as a result rewards will follow that are justly deserved.
I am delighted to say after many years of hard work and effort, that
our day has come. We have the answers to this new environment, we know
our markets and the global community across 5 continents will be
intertwined with our operations in Manufacture, Media, Software,
Licensing and Services.
My team and I are small, we work in very modest surroundings. We know
our industry inside and out. And now, we are ready to share with you,
our staff and private investors success, as a benchmark leader, and as
a new green socially accountable co-operative organization.
