Safe Harbour
Since Riverside Networks was founded in 2001 and online in the web
community, it has always been regarded in the industry as a safe
harbour. A terminology many long standing and respectable leaders in
our industry use to describe a safe web site or community platform
online such as Riverside Networks here.
As a Safe Harbour and respected member of the community we work with
many in our industry and for countless years given free time as a
public service to help evolve and shape the web.
The entire design and creation of our platform here at Riverside
Networks, including programs, artwork and coding is original. Our
graphics today are described very often as web art, that we find very
humbling.
We are always working hard and striving with others to help improve the
web so it becomes a safe and more enjoyable environment for all. This
year especially we have been exchanging ideas with our partners at
eBay, as they work very hard, especially these past twelve months to
make buyer and seller experiences far safer and enjoyable to use for
all.
At Riverside we have also launched the Parental Ratings and
Certificates Program, to help protect minors in relation to web content
suitability. A task and project I embarked on as a parent back in 1998,
as a partner with Netscape Communications developing customized UK
browser suites and as a Program Partner with Microsoft working on Web
TV. The Parental Ratings and Certificates program is a very simplified
software that allows the community to self police and at the same time,
is easy for web site owners to migrate the program to their sites and
services on the web. On every part of the site (platform) towards the
top left hand side of each web page you can see our parental ratings
icon indicators.
Across our network you will also notice partner advertising that helps
maintain and develop services. All are famous household leading names
and brands who choose to advertise with ourselves and at the very same
time, we maintain a very high standard of selective advertisers for our
program across the Riverside Networks Platform. Many of these such as
the BBC, Discovery, National Geographic, Argos, Travelocity and others
have been long time friends for many years. Whilst we are not liable
for these advertisers commercial activity, we always evaluate on a
daily basis the environment and health of an advertiser to prevent any
financial hardship to our users in the event of an enterprise going
into administration, or experiencing problems as a result of the
economic climate.
As we concentrate on building 'The
Home of Information Technology' here at Riverside Networks in the coming years, where we will
offer the most extensive range of technology hardware products and
accessories with an aim to selling over 100,000 different items. Our
focus is on standards of excellence that are second to none. Our
mission is to deliver excellent quality value, excellent logistics and
delivery times, excellent customer services and finally excellent
customer care and after sales. The standards we currently meet and
maintain for our patrons. A testament to this and example is our partner eBay
store with over 21,000 sales transactions and where we are a Top
Rated Seller and eBay Partner Trading Assistant, helping the business
community.
For your peace of mind as a customer using Riverside Networks, we are a
lawful British Enterprise registered with Her Majesty's Revenue and
Customs as a registered PAYE employer and VAT registered concern. We
are also a partnership and therefore the owners are liable personally.
We are also fully compliant to trading Standards policies issued by the
Office of Fair Trading and the Long Distance Selling Regulations.
Across our platform and on every listing we clearly publish contact
information, customer rights and the process when ordering.
Customer Buyer Protection
As a partner with Pay Pal as a Premier Merchant Account
holder all customers orders placed across our network using Pay
Pal are covered for buyer protection. This means that you will receive
your goods safely and in quick time as we have a significant track
record with Pay Pal and only recently invited onto their research panel
to help improve services across the web community.

shopping on-line. A platinum member with IMRG and hold a Pay Pal
Merchant Account.
We are also registered with Her Majesty's Commissioners Office and hold
a ICO License under the Data Protection Act. We are also insured and
underwritten by Lloyds of London in conjunction with ISIS and a
